Love command strips. I use them on all four sides of frames that need to be more baby proof.

I use command strips with lighter frames, but they definitely will fall if used on certain types of paint. or in rooms that can get humid.

For heavier/breakable shelves or frames I use picture hangers - the kind where the nail stays in at an angle and is super easy to hammer.

I've had things hanging with command strips fall, so I use nails now.

Command strips are awesome. I just hung 4 pictures in the nursery in under 5 minutes. I've used them before and never had anything fall - yet!

@shopaholic: I do this as well, nail with angled hook. I do have some of the command strips in the bathroom though (brick walls) and they are still going strong. I tried a command strip in the bedroom though and it the picture came tumbling down.

I've never tried the command strips for hanging pictures. I've done a few in the closet for jackets and stuff, but gave up when one of them kept falling down. I like to use the nails with and angled hook so I know they are secure.

We have a bathroom that is tile from floor to ceiling, so I have two things hanging that I used the command strips for. Both are fairly heavy and they've been holding strong for 3+ years. I use them pretty regularly, but I also include these two things in my picture/object hanging:

I've always used nails cause I'm afraid of those falling after a while. I dont change the location I put anything, just maybe change up the picture or artwork so a hole in the wall doesnt bother me.

I found them at michaels. we have lots of picture frames but hadnt mounted any of them to the wall because we will be moving in a few months and didnt want to deal with holes in the walls. Have you tried these?
