I can see the appeal of liners. We also have a sprayer that we use sometimes but it doesn't work well so sometimes causes more grief than its worth. We use them to make it more convienent for his daycare ladies, but then started doing them at home too. He rarely has a bm that works for the shake it into the toilet method. He only has a bm every other day or so right now so it's not so bad. I did buy a big box of liners to try but haven't gotten around to actually using any of them.
