She use to let me hold her in the cradle but now only while nursing. My husband and I both hold her upright.
But she'll let my mom hold her in pretty much any position!

We always held him upright because he had reflux as an infant. He didn't like being cradled much.

Upright unless she's sleepy. When she's sleepy and upright, she tries to fight sleep by banging her head on my collarbone.

upright since the beginning

cradle seems to give him ideas about eating when he's not hungry

We cradle held her for the first 2-3 months, then started holding her upright. Now we always hold her upright and sit her on our hips.

As a newborn, my son loved it when I held him face down. i'd support his body on my arm with his head near the crook of my elbow. It also relieved his gas.

Upright, almost always. She loves to rest on my shoulder and wrap her arms around me. It's like she's already hugging at 7 weeks:)

I used to always hold her in the cradle position. Now I alternate between upright, and cradle. If I'm trying to calm her down I still always do cradle b/c when she's upright she likes to practice her head control, and she gets really wiggly and excited.

I almost always hold her upright...ever since she was a newborn she preferred to be upright. My husband holds her upright too but sometimes he tries to hold her sideways and she just looks awkward and uncomfortable
