It's in my basement so it's not something we have to see. But, when my family comes over, my nieces and nephew play down there and ruin it. :) So I started making a spreadsheet and taping it up instead. I can cross things off and add them as I go. I used to have the one long roll where you make your own custom size, but I never used it. So now I use the quart sized bags and at least I use the machine! When I buy in bulk, I separate stuff and use a FoodSaver to vacuum seal into portions. It really makes a difference in terms of shelf life. We are moving and I tossed a lot of food. It was old food and it felt so wasteful! It did feel amazing to see a nearly empty freezer and chest freezer, though. I'm thinking with my bad memory and I need to keep better track. I started a written freezer list but I need something else. A freezer inventory app maybe? One that reminds me that I have it in there and it's expiring soon. I found one app. I hope it works. What do you do?
