Since she's only 8 months and doesn't really touch much when we're out and about (stroller or cart cover) I will just use a wipe.

For the most part, we just don't worry about it. If we're somewhere where I think the environment is gross, I'll use either a regular wipe or a pacifier wipe (often a pacifier wipe, since I assume whatever is on that is fine to go in his mouth). After eating, I use a regular wipe on his hands to get the sticky off.

It depends on what you are trying to clean. Mind you, I don't think a little dirt and germs is too bad for kids. We use wipes if we want to get the food/dirt off of his hands. For germs, if it is something really yucky (crawling on the ground at the doctors) I will use a little hand sanitizer or find a bathroom. Hand sanitizer hasn't been approved for little ones.

I use baby wipes when we're out. At home I'll just wash her hands once in a while.

Do you wipe down with a baby wipe? Hand sanitizer? Just wondering how you keep their tiny hands clean when you are out and about?
