A warm washcloth, she had a bad cold for almost 3 weeks, and still has a little runny nose. We used two humidifiers, a cool one and warm steam one, also used little remedies saline spray.

I found the best method for the bulb is...
1. saline drops
2. squeeze air out of bulb (away from LO's sight)
3. close one nostril and suction the other
4. squeeze out snot and repeat on other nostril.

i used to not close the nostril and am amazed at how much more i get now and it is a quick sweep!

@pastemoo: We use the Nose Frida instead of the bulb to suck out more snot. We also do saline sprays to help break it up. Other than that, we're constantly wiping her nose.

I run the shower for some steam and let her play in the bathroom on her high chair for a few minutes to soak it in. Then Saline drops + snot sucker.

My DD does the same thing. I'm constantly wiping her down with a saline wipe or warm wet washcloth. Luckily, she doesn't have much hair, so that's not a huge problem.

@banana: Ugh, he always does it before I can get to him. And I am not very good at the suction bulb. Do you have a regular bulb?

My doctor told me to do it with saline (suction) but he hates it soooo much. :( Poor, gross, sticky baby.

I just constantly suction! I try to do steam baths to really drain out the nose too.

How do you keep your sick baby clean?
When my little guy is sick with a runny nose he rubs his eyes and then his nose and then his hair so he is COVERED in snot. I can't give a bath because he does it every few minutes.

Would you use a saline wipe? Regular wipe? Water? Just let it go?
He is also getting baths more often.

I am seriously more grossed out by snot than anything and he is just constantly covering himself if in. (He is 7 months and I guess he recently learned how to rub it all over himself.)
