Does she like doing different art/craft projects? Set up coloring stations or find some art activities that keep her busy? My 2 y.o. niece LOVES cutting things, so my SIL gives her random pieces of paper and kid scissors and lets her go to town. She also loves gluing, so my SIL tears out random images from magazines and lets her glue pictures to paper (even newspaper or junk mail to reduce paper waste)

ETA: These are smaller, temporary distractions, obviously. I have no advice about more permanent coping with the change in family dynamic for the moment. :( Sorry!

I kind of feel like I'm drowning here. L (1 month) is turning out to be pretty high needs, aside from the fact she's also still eating every 2 hours. I just got a swing today but it showed up broken :crying: E (25 months) has completely stopped listening to me. She has been super destructive, needy and purposefully defiant. I know it's her way of adjusting but I don't know what to do.

I've tried making her "mommys helper", wear the baby in a wrap when I can, put books near glider to keep her busy during feedings and pointing out all the positives of being a big girl but none of it works. I feel awful that I'm constantly discipline her and I'm so tired that my patience wears thin and I've yelled more than I want :(.

I'm not sure what to do or how to help E cope more.
