I've never been charged more for a haircut, but for color yes. I'm not sure if I've ever been upcharged for it though...</p> <p>Then again, I haven't had my hair cut in an actual salon in more than 2 years. (So many bad experiences...not many people know what to do with my hair and they always try to thin it out, which I hate, beyond hate.) Depending on the stylist I am surcharged for hair length.</p> <p>Typically, I get this extra fee when black stylists do my hair. I have a fantastic white stylist who doesn't charge me and one time a mixed race (Latina and Black) stylist with similar hair texture didn't charge me. </p> <p>My hair reaches the bottom of my bra clasp and falls past my shoulders, mid arm when straight.
