If he doesn't just pop off on his own, I have no idea if he's done or not! Often, he'll just fall asleep and continue comfort sucking. If, after a while, I don't hear him swallowing, I pop him off. She'll start lazy sucking, not really drinking, or will sometimes fall asleep - but we don't often get that smily milk-drunk baby look, even on her longer feeds (both sides, 40+ minutes). I feel like my supply has increased somewhat from the ridiculously low supply I started out with. The problem is that because we supplemented with formua a few times he's never had one of those "I'm a breast-fed baby" poops. I was advised by LC to try to nurse her on just one side each session. I've been trying that during the day and then giving both at night because she goes longer between feeds. Sometimes she seems unsatisfied after a feed but when I put her back on she's not really drinking. I'm trying to keep her around 20 mins a side to help my nipples heal.</p> <p>LO is 16 days old. </p>
