We've stopped giving it during the day and only at bedtime. I'm trying to switch it back and forth with Advil - ped advised it as they both work differently. L wasn't crying but he was really whining a lot and not himself. I could have holded off but i figured just because he is not crying, doesn't mean he was not in pain. I don't know. I find it so hard to tell. He's getting his teeth all at once right now at 10 months. He just got two and I can feel 4 more that are coming in and are about to break the gum. He is absolutely miserable and has been ramming his fist into his mouth while screaming. That's our big indicator that he needs something. But if none of his teethers are working and he's still miserable, we'll give Tylenol. Today he seemed to be whining/chewing/biting more than ever. And i can see his top 2 teeth coming in. So i gave Tylenol before bed. I just don't want this to become a habit. How can you tell when it is appropriate to give or not? </p>
