He says, "I'm done!!!" And he still has a ton of food on his plate/bowl. *Sigh* Feeding a toddler is a lot of work when they eat on their own. Takes forever so it's so hard for me to tell if he's full or not b/c he will play around and then eat some more and then play and then eat, etc... I know, I'm not much help... :\

We feel his belly. For real. If it's round and hard we're like "ok! he's full!"

Now she talks so will tell me she is done. Before that, she'll usually start throwing food on the floor so then I knew (finger foods). And before finger foods, she always just ate everything until it was gone!

Lips will be clamped shut and LO's head will turn away when the food/spoon comes near.

Now she's old enough to say "no" when I ask if she wants any more food. A couple of months ago, I'd know she was full when she started generously offering her daddy or me bites of her food.

@Rubies: @chopsuey119: It's probably comfort nursing. They get to snuggle and cuddle, much more fun than solids!

LO will be full for solids but will want to nurse. If she doesn't want solids anymore, she'll just whine, squirm, or purse her lips. But I *know* she's hungry so moments later I will nurse her and she'll gulp my (her?) milk for 15-20 minutes. When she's full on milk, she'll just unlatch and look around.

If it's her bottle she'll bite it. If it's solids she'll make a noise that tells me she's done, and won't open her mouth for it.

My LO will spit food out, or will toss what I give her on the floor when she's full.

:P I only give her 1-2 pieces of food at a time because she starts playing with her food if there's too much in front of her.
