If it's really bad, I'd hold her in the bathroom while I ran the shower to fog it up. But saline drops + snotsucker + rocking her to sleep while sitting up works. (I won't be able to do this soon, she's getting heavy!)

Awww poor baby. Lots of holding. Boogie suck only before feeding and sleeping as needed. Not too much b/c you don't want to irritate her delicate nostrils. Youtube videos...sorry, most won't agree with that but it worked for us. My LO loved water, so I would let her sit on the edge of the sink and let her kick her feet around in some water, jacuzzi style. She loved the splashing. We have a rocker recliner so I'd let her sit on that and kneel in front of her rocking her gently, so she felt like a big girl.

Warm shower. Enough to make a little steam but not hot enough or bear enough to heat baby. That was sometimes the best way to calm my son. And of course some nursing in the shower.

Echoed everyone above, and distraction when possible. Lots of singing and general silliness to try to help get her mind off all the yucky symptoms. Hope she feels better soon!

When L was congested, I was constantly using saline drops & the Nose Frieda on her :( I also just held her and cuddled her as much as I could... it's so sad when they're sick!

My LO had his first cold last week at 5.5 months. His nose is still running and he's congested at night, so he's pretty miserable. But in the thick of it last week, we spent a lot of time in the shower and jacuzzi tub. And rubbed baby Vicks on his feet and chest. Also, saline drops in his nose and lots of snuggling. It was a rough week. Sorry your LO is under the weather, too.

Poor baby M. She is so miserable. Her nose is all red and sore and she is sneezing all over the place. Boogie, snot and spit-up have been flying in our house today. What can we do to make her feel better? She's not feverish, just sick:-( I'm trying to keep her nose clear and using a warm, wet cloth to clean her nose area.
