My LOs started sharing when the baby turned 8 months. I would put baby down then appx an hour later my toddler. We just snuck him in quietly and had the sound machine on. Sometimes the baby would wake up so then I would pick him up for a bit and put him back in the crib. If baby had night wakings I would bring him back to my room.
Recently though my toddler has decided he prefers to sleep in my room, so I let him go to sleep there and when I go to bed an hour later, I just transfer him. This is actually working even better because by this point they are both in deep sleep so no one is waking the other up.

I was just thinking about this today too! #2 isn't even here yet, but the two girls will share a room when I have #3.

I remember when my sister and I shared a bed she would go to bed first, and then I would follow an hour or so later. I don't remember the actual logistics of that though. We were 3.5 years apart, and I'm thinking it started when she was 2 and I was 5

I'm planning to move my two DS into the same room when the baby is consistently sleeping through the night. He's only 4 mos now, and not quite there yet, but I am trying to anticipate the move and plan ahead as much as I can. If we did it this summer, when he maybe 7-8 mos, the older one will be 2.5. Baby currently goes to bed around 6-630, and toddler goes down around 730-8. Toddler was sleep trained and we put him down awake, sometimes he plays a little but I'm hoping baby will sleep through that. I'm just wondering how other parents have negotiated this and how the LOs handled it?
