I can't deal with sorting everything. But I'm thinking we will start using clear plastic shoe bins for things like that. She still likes to dump though so it's not worth it. But she's only 16 months, so nothing is really all that small. A friend has a very nice system though, it's a toy box rack with shelves and it's so easy to see all the toys and pick the one you want! He doesn't like his stuff mixed up, so this works only because he wants it this way. For example, shopkins, sets that come with multiple small characters/parts etc. Currently I have them in plastic food containers or little lunch bags (since they come with backpacks, my kids don't take a lunch yet) but then those all get thrown in a basket and it doesn't take long for the parts to end up all over again.
