For drinks we def just put a few in and keep replacing as we drink it so they don't take over the fridge.

This is the one area (only area?) of my life that is organized.
We have an old school freezer on top, single door model.

Milk, condiments, yeast, and white wine goes on the door. Cheese goes in the dairy drawer.
Eggs and butter goes on the shelf above the door.
The top right shelf is for leftovers.
The middle shelf holds prepped food for this week's meal plan on one side, and the other side has plastic tubs (sour cream, yogurt) and glass jars (salsa, tomato sauce).
The bottom shelf is for drinks - Brita water pitcher, iced tea, (lots of) beer.
One of our bottom drawers broke, so meat goes in the empty space at the bottom.
Extra fruit/veggies and veggies that aren't prepped yet go in the crisper drawer.

My fridge isn't remotely organized, my freezer...gah, when you open it stuff falls out.

But we do utilize the door for a lot of condiments, I find that frees up my shelf space.

@jhd: DH wants to get a mini fridge to go in the corner where the wine fridge is. Then put the wine fridge on top of it. He literally has 6 kinds of sodas/water/G2 in there. Ridiculous. 3 are the full fridge packs (one is my Diet Coke). He said that he isn't going down to the basement to get a drink when I suggested getting a fridge down there. We don't have a garage.

We arranged the shelves in it so that we have a bit spot on top for milk, brita filter and juice and such, then in the middle we have a less tall spot for the boxes of pop. Below that we have an even bigger spot where we store leftovers, boxes of stuff, meats, ect. Under that is the vegetable and fruit drawers. On the door we store condiments, eggs and such.

We have a mini fridge by DH's bar for mixers, beer and such. We also have an extra freezer in the basement.

WE only have one fridge. It's a side by side model. Our top shelf is drinks - milk, coffee creamer, some of DH's beer. Next shelf is yogurt, brita pitcher, small containers like cream cheese, hummus. Then there's a drawer with dairy stuff in it - shredded cheese, cheese sticks, deli meat if we have any. The bottom shelf has some more of DH's beer, any left overs, pasta sauce, carrots - kinda miscellaneous. Then we have two drawers below there. The top of them is bottled waters, sometimes salad if there's room. Bottom one is bread products - tortillas, english muffins, sometimes salad there too. We got a SodaStream for Christmas which has helped save space for drinks since we don't need to make room for bottles or cans. We try to keep some of DH's (and my) beer out of the fridge too to help save space.

we have 2, but only because one was there when we bought the house and we wanted a stainless one. we moved the extra one to our laundry room. i use it for drinks and extra stuff.

when we only had one i tried to limit the number of drinks b/c they tend to take over, like you said. do you have a place you could store extra drinks or would that be too much hassle? (for ex if i had a big pack of water bottles i'd put half in the fridge at a time)

Sodas (DH likes a variety stocked) and beers are taking over out fridge. I feel like it is puzzle to make things fit. Especially when he go to Costco and I get lettuce, spinach, celery, etc.

How do you keep yours organized? Do you have two fridges?
