@pui: I would use 1-2 wipes per change - possibly three for a soiled diaper. So I would say probably 6-7 would cover you? I always packed on the heavy side cause you never know if you need it to clean them other places too. I had some pretty thin cloth wipes so it was compact even if I brought 20 in a wetbag.

I take 6-8, and I wet them and throw them in a ziplock before we go out. If I don't use them, I just dump them in the wet bag of dirty diapers so they don't get musty. I usually just bring disposable wipes these days though.

I would take 6-8. LO was amazing at timing blowouts for when we were out of the house. Once there was a pattern to her pooping I would pack wipes based on the time of day.

I could never figure it out. Either the stupid bottle would leak or spill (my fault or not), or I would try to do how @looch: suggested which typically worked the best, but I would get lazy/forget, or the wipes would start to smell musty by the end of the day.

Now I just use disposable wipes. It takes us like 4 months to go through 1 pack

@pui: In the early days, I assumed one diaper change per hour, so 4 wipes in one bag.

I treated the wipes like I would have a pack of disposable wipes, all wet and unused packed together, then the used one just goes in with the diaper.

I used to bring damp wipes in a small Planet Wise wet bag.

@Weagle: @looch: @Mrs. Pen: How many wipes did you typically pack for say... 4 hours out?

When I cloth diapered, I did. I would pack them in a wet bag and bring our bottle of wash- which was in a peri bottle. I would wet them at the time and put the dirty ones in a different wet bag. I actually found it was pretty compact for the most part unless we were out all day and required numerous diaper changes.

I would just wet them, wring out enough water so they would still do the job, and put them in either a small wetbag or ziplock bag. I didn't have enough hands to deal with a bottle of spray, somehow.

I used to just keep some in a little ziplock with a travel sized bottle of booty spray. Then I just started using disposable wipes instead. Much easier to carry around.

Trying to figure this out. Any tricks on how to pack them as compactly as possible?

I plan on keeping the wipes dry and bringing a separate spray bottle to wet them with.
