It is so convenient and I don't have to pack paper books for our trips anymore. (I used to pack 4-5 books for our 2 week trip to Colombia every year.) I had a hard time getting used to the feel of holding kindle until I got a fold-over case that made it a little more substantial in my hand, so I would definitely recommend getting a case.</p> <p>DH uses the kindle app on his iPad, but I really hate reading on it because of the glare.</p> <p>I also have a friend who gave me +700 books that had been converted to PDF, so I have rarely bought books in the 4 years I have had the kindle. Besides the obvious plus of being able to have access to multiple books for a trip or commute, and downloading books instantly, I like not having to keep the book propped open. It makes it much easier for reading the book in bed (while drinking tea or something), while nursing, and on my lunch break at work. Especially while commuting the kindle was so much better, and now it's easier for nursing as well.
