I can usually get 5 minutes where he'll watch tv or play with some toys, but for the most part, he "helps." I don't mind most of the time, especially because he listens well in the kitchen because he knows I'm serious, but there are days where everything take twice as long. I taught him to use the Keurig, though, so often times that will suffice his interest and then he'll just watch. I try to do prep work while she's napping so I can just put something in the oven or finish up quickly while she's awake.
