My 3yo has to tonsillitis and we have a 4mo baby. I keep him away from her as much as possible and we are constantly washing hands. I would sterilise all the toys LO has played with, Lysol everything he has touched, and that you have touched since you're caring for him, so door knobs etc and don't let your kids share cups etc. My LO caught a stomach bug almost a week after the girl I nanny for had it, and we were all so, so careful - those bugs are evil!
