@winniebee: I'm so happy for you that this is the problem :)  I don't know about psyching yourself up, but distraction was the only thing that even remotely helped me. when you feel physically awful, sleep or binge watch a netflix or amazon series. when you feel sort-of okay, clean or organize or get your pedi? xxx hang in there.

I mentally I am trying to stay positive! I feel like I'm in a fog or a zombie! Working with 6-7 yr olds all days and coming home to a 15 month old makes me a bear, but at night I take a long hot shower, drink some preggo tea and relax, poor DH I feel like he is my punching bag!

I bought all my favorite snacks so that I could keep the nausea at bay. It went against how I normally budget but I needed to survive.

I also tried to remind myself that I planned this baby and knew what I was getting into, and the nausea wouldn't last. I promised myself I would complain less this pregnancy because I was miserable and made my husband miserable last time. That only lasted till about 5 months though, ha!

but you are half way done with first trimester! I have no real specific advice but just try to pamper and be kind to yourself. Maybe try to look forward to a small thing every week, like a pedicure, a special treat, going to target and getting something random just for you, that sort of stuff. Might help you to count down the weeks. And of course it should help that ALL of hello bee is rooting for you!

One. Day. At. A. Time.

Third pregnancies are hard. Being miserable and caring for two children full time is no easy cross to bear. Hang in there, sweet friend.

I went into survival mode and have just been doing only what I have to and nothing extra. It hasn't been fun but luckily, I'll feel better when it's summer and there is more to do.

I pretty much only do what is necessary and spend the rest of the time on the couch. I'm behind on a quilt swap and I need to finish a quilt for my parents, but everyone has been really understanding of the fact that this pregnancy is harder, I'm sicker, and I just need to rest.

 Oh no, I hope this goes away before 12 weeks is up!

I think now knowing how glorious 2nd trimester feels, I'd just keep dreaming about getting to that point!

I downloaded an app to pass the time, because even though I knew generally what happens in the first tri, it was nice getting day to day updates of what was happening! and I just tried to keep busy and distract myself. read a few engrossing books, anything to distract me from how I was feeling. And definitely book a pedicure!

I hope time passes quickly for you!

I planned a lot.

Kept my registry refined, looked at potential nursery designs, made decisions about cloth diapers, explored pregnancy apps, looked at gear, surfed Pinterest for fashion and style ideas.

I even purchased our desired stroller because it was a great deal

But then I miscarried, so I'm really worried about getting excited next time in the first trimester

The one good thing was that hubby started giving me daily backrubs and tummy lotion-ing. :)

Spend the first trimester pampering yourself basically. Think about baby stuff later.

How do you psych yourself up in the first trimester when you have SO long to go and feel SO crappy?

I'm 6.5 weeks and feel like doggy doo doo and there is just so. much. time. in the first trimester left. Work has been busy but any down time I feel like I want to cry from the nausea and fatigue!
