I put DS on his back or his side (if he's already asleep). He rolls and scoots himself around his crib at night.

Good luck on swaddle weaning! I'm sure she'll adjust quickly!

I find that it takes her a lot longer to settle down to bed. Before it was 5 minutes and she was out, but now she rolls around before she finds her comfortable spot. i lay her on her back near the edge of the crib so that there's enough to only roll over once, as opposed to rolling twice and getting her face/arms smushed on the other side.

I hate it when i think she's sleeping but when look at the monitor to see her on her arms looking up and around. It's like, "go to sleep already!"

@Sammyfab: Good point! She does usually tend to roll to her right. Trying this for nap now!

@prettylizy: I'm hoping that's all it is for us... her realizing that being on tummy in crib and in her sack means sleep not exercise. It took me a while to catch on to sleeping in new positions while pregnant so I'm sure she'll have a period of getting used to it too!

I had tried putting her down on her belly but I walked in like 15mins later and she was still propped up on her hands. Silly baby. She's now on her back positioned so if she rolls she'll be free of the crib rails.

we put her down on her belly now. She sometimes does the same thing where she lifts her head up and looks around, but usually will get tired of that after a minute or two on her own and rests it back down and goes to sleep. I think the sleep cues really help her differentiate btwn tummy time and nap/sleep. I always put her in a sleep sack before bed/naps and she is always in her crib. They catch on pretty fast.

My LO tends to sleep on his side but he will tummy sleep on occasion. We always put him down on his back and he will roll onto his side immediately!

Does she favour rolling in one direction? If so, can you put her down so that when she rolls she will end up in the middle of her crib?

My LO is 4.5mo and is rolling in her swaddle. We've ditched it (again) and I'm sticking with it this time.

She rolls onto her belly every time I put her down now but if I lay her on her back when I first put her down, she rolls and ends up with her face mashed against the crib.

I can put her right on her belly but it seems to really delay her drifting off as she thinks its tummy time and just lifts her chest up forever and looks around.

This is new territory for me so I'm curious to see what others do.
