Aww, hugs! Glad he's doing better at least! My answer is usually a bit of retail therapy, a massage, splitting a bottle of wine or a long walk- venting to my husband always feels better outside, like giving the bad feelings a chance to escape.

Sorry to hear! For me, lighting a candle, making some tea or coffee and reading a book does the trick. Replace the book with some bad reality TV - it makes things even better!

I have a nice long shower, big bowl of ice-cream, people magazine, and a cup of tea and it seems to do the trick!

Liam has been really sick. He has had a fever for three days and I stayed home from work yesterday because I was so worried about him. I'm back at work today because we have state testing and it would be very hard for my school to find someone to cover me. My husband had an important meeting today, so he couldn't stay home. To top it off, our nanny is out of town at a funeral until Thursday! My FIL drove 2 hours to stay with us and watch Liam until our nanny returns, but he has never babysat for us before and I have been nervous about it for a week. Liam being sick just makes it all worse and it was SO hard to leave him today.

The good news is that my FIL said he is doing fine and his fever broke. He's eating and playing at happy (or at least that's what he's telling me so I feel better).

However, I left my lunch and breakfast at home. I went to the school cafeteria earlier and bought a gross looking wrap, some melon, a coffee, and a cookie (the only thing that looked tasty) and I dropped the cookie on the ground outside! Then, I went to the restroom and realized that my period, which I thought was over, is NOT.

I need a momcation...
