@ellybecks: I have a 31 bag that I am setting up. Outer pockets will have bottles. Inside: stack of clean diapers and empty wetbag for dirty diapers. Also inside: other things they ask for: bib, bunting, blanket, extra outfit.

@pelikila: Good to know! I never thought about leaving extras there. Seems obvious now that you say it. I do need to remember to take them all home on Fridays.

I did a daycare bag post last spring sometime, but this is what I do:
I have a large bag and in that I put several clean cloth diapers, a change of clothes and whatever else he needs for a day. I also stick in a wetbag and inside the wetbag I put plastic grocery bags (we discovered the wetbag leaks a little so now she puts the dirty diaps in a plastic bag, inside the wetbag - i reuse the plastic bags for the dog...)

At the end of the day the diaps are in the wetbag and I just rinse those and put new clean diaps in the big bag.

Like PPs, we bring in one wetbag and a set of clean diapers every day. We put the clean diapers in the spot assigned for LO's diapers, where the other kids have their disposables. Then at our daycare they have us put the wetbag with the soiled clothes bin in a cabinet. We try to keep about 7 there at all times and either check how many are there at the end of the day or count how many came home to keep stocked.

To carry everything, we use a large cloth grocery bag. So when we had an infant, we put the diapers, wetbag, bottles, snacks, utensils, etc. all in that bag to carry. The infant room let us keep this bag in her cubby so if I dropped off and DH picked up, then we were fine.

Just one bag. We put the clean ones in it each morning. They take them out and put them in her diaper bin by the changing station. As the day goes on they put the dirty in the bag and we take them home.
Some times we bring more than they need though and don't realize it and we end up with a few extra by the end of the week.

Our daycare assigns cubbies and colors to each child in the infant room. You have one cubbie for extra clothes, blankets, jackets, hats, etc. and another cubbie over the changing area where they have diapers, wipes, and creams. Each cubbie is labled with a name and color and everything baby brings in is labeled with name, color, and date if it is food related (purees, bottles, etc.). For cloth diapers we brought in 8 diapers to start and one wetbag. We put the diapers and wipes in his cubbie and folded the wetbag next to them. They put dirty diapers in the wetbag throughout the day. When I picked up I would grab his empty bottles and wetbag, do a quick count of diapers remaining in his cubbie (though I could also just count what is in his wetbag if I ever forgot) and just packed what I needed to replenish the next morning. Sometimes he'd only go through 6 diapers a day, sometimes all 8. They would just let us know if they were running low on wipes or creams and I'd bring that in as needed.

Our daycare doesnt allow cloth so I dont have this issue but why do you want them to send home the clean ones? I think you should just let them keep the clean ones and then add more to their stash as needed

We will be sending LO to daycare starting next week, and will be sending cloth diapers with her. The only instruction that I have gotten from daycare is that we need to send a wetbag for them to put the diapers in (obviously). But I am thinking I need 2 wetbags per day - one to store clean ones in, and one for dirty. Then they can just send home both bags at the end of the day (with dirty and any leftover clean ones - that way I don't have to guess how many are left clean at daycare, right?).

How do you send your diapers? We will also be sending pumped milk in bottles, so I'm thinking I'll need a large bag to hold my cooler and diapers for transporting both directions (I'll be doing dropoff, and husband will do pickup). Any thoughts on what has worked for you?
