@TurtleDoves: yes, def. I would steam as oppose to boil because then a lot of the nutrients will be cooked into the liquid if you boil.

I plan on making a spinach soup (it's more like a thick porridge) and feeding him that way.
Am I being dumb or can you steam/boil spinach and just kinda mash it? I imagine you could, but have never tried it.
I 2nd the kale chips and I like the idea of grinding (ground) chicken into the spinach mixture.
Maybe you can saute the spinach and chicken together and give it to her in small bites?

Love the idea of kale chips! We're doing purees, so we steam and puree spinach and combine it with chicken. LO loves it! I would think if you quicky sauteed or steamed baby spinach like @MrsJazz said, it would be slimy but they are very delicious!

I also steam and chop them up into bits for her to grab. I wring out the water so it isn't as gross. Even i hate water logged spinach!

My baby eats sauteed greens all the time and loves it. Sure it's slimy and messy and hard for her to pick up, but she gets the job done. I just chop it a little into bite sized pieces and put it on her high-chair tray.

We gave her a kale puree and mixed it with applesauce because it was a little thick. I need to make more because her diet is very "orange" heavy these days.

In the past I've just given her the stalks but we need to up her iron intake and all the good stuff are in the leaves. But bc of their thinness it's kinda hard for babies to get them. I've taken to chopping them tiny to mix in with her congee.

Kale chips are probably a good snack idea too.

How else do you serve dark leafy veggies.

ETA: looking for more BLW type ideas. She's not a huge fan of me feeding her any more!
