My mom had four kids, worked full time, ran an hour every day, got dinner on the table and kept a spotless house, while still spending lots of quality time with us.... I'm wondering now if she has super powers of some sort because I honestly have no idea how she did it. I'm so lazy compared to her!

@Anagram: our moms sound a lot alike! Supermoms.

My mom is also superwoman. I think it has something to do with screen time--as in, I waste hours a day oh HB and FB and Reddit, and NYTimes...and my mom doesn't even watch tv.

But yeah, my mom had 6 kids, WOTH, made dinner every night, somehow is a size 4-6 after having those 6 kids, works out every day, sews, gardens, the list goes on. Just thinking about it all makes me tired.

My mom now or my mom when I was little? My mom now is sort of that unstoppable force. She's always moving, cleaning, cooking, helping. Everything is just so and she says things like "well if you just did one load of laundry a day it wouldn't stack up!" (which is true and yet... lol).

But I remember when I was little my mom was not quite the homemaker she is now. I can remember the person-sized piles of laundry and the clutter. I think she was probably still a little bit tidier than I am now, but not that much. Probably by the time I'm her age I'll be perfect betty homemaker too :)

We're completely different, we don't even look alike. But my mom's like yours: so full of energy I'm a sloth compared to her!

My mom is pretty awesome for a number of reasons, but now that I've had a baby, I am AMAZED at how well she juggled being pregnant with so many of us running around. I don't remember her complaining at all, or being extra tired, or anything like that. I'm sure she was exhausted, especially by the time #5 came around, but I have no recollection of her taking it out on us in any way. I very much want to emulate that!

We are also both very busy people. Do what needs doing!

My mom has always been the perfect WOHM since I was little. House always clean, dinner made every night, full time job, 3 girls including one with medical needs when she was little...ugh. I look like a lazy bum compared to her!!

I'm totally lazy compared to my mom. Whenever she comes over, she cleans random things in my house for me. Her house is always clean and she's a fantastic cook. Plus she works full-time too! Where is all that energy from????

I watch a lot of TV instead.

We are both busy bodies, but she spends a lot of time cleaning. I am more focused on doing activities with the kids. We prioritize different things as moms.

I feel like my mom has always been amazing...with my sister and I, and now with our kids. Like @MrsBee, my mom cooks, cleans, and plays for hours when she visits. No idea where she gets her energy. Oh, and she has the patience of a SAINT. I try my best to emulate her...I don't always succeed, but I don't stress about it either!

I do about as much as she does/did plus I workout which she didn't do until we were way way older. But i am far far less organized & put together than she is. I'm kind of a scatter brained mess & she just isn't. lol

I worry about this even though LO isn't here yet. She always did so much and I feel like I can barely do a third of what I remember her doing- and I don't even have a kid yet! I keep hoping my mom energy will hit at some point....

My mom is here visiting, and honestly I feel so lazy compared to her! She cooks, she cleans, she watches the kids, she's always doing something productive, she has more energy than I do. (She's cleaning our air conditioners now.) Even growing up she was always busy.

I wonder if I'll do the things she does for me when Charlie and Olive have kids. Maybe I'll get some special grandma energy? Somehow I don't think so!

I may never be as hard working as her, but I try to enrich the kids' lives in other ways through arts and crafts, reading, adventures, etc.

How do you stack up to your mom?
