The TWW has been killer for me. I try to stay positive, but its hard wondering. The main thing getting me through it is that my TWW falls during a really busy time of the month at work, so I'm too busy to dwell on it!

Totally feeling this too - and this is only our first cycle of actually trying/charting (and my cycle has gotten wonky)! I've been trying to stay away, actually. (Not doing so hot on that...) And yes, I feel like FF is the enemy right now.

I agree - distraction really is the best way! Schedule yourself busy with activities, and new projects or books or hobbies are great. I let myself get addicted to some book series (finally read twilight, hunger games, harry potter), worked on some photo albums, rearranged some furniture/walls, learned some new piano music, etc. I hope this tww is your last!

P.S. Around the 6 month mark of ttc can feel brutal. I think it was some of the most frustrating time for me (of nearly 2 years now!), since you're still 'normal', but it's so crushing when it's not happening. Hang in there!

It was really hard for me. We tried for 8 months (got pregnant on cycle 3 but miscarried and ultimately got pregnant on cycle 4 post-miscarriage). My last TWW I was so negative whereas during other TWWs I was really hopeful. The way that I stayed sane was to live my life as normally as possible during the TWW and planned stuff (meet up with friends, work events, etc) so that I wasn't wishing the days away.

Good luck : )

I agree about the information being overwhelming. I started reading up on everything and getting almost obsessive over it. This month I decided to let it all go and not pay attention to any of it. It's been far more relaxing, romantic, and fun. I still think about the TWW frequently (should know Sunday) but I'm trying to read into every little ache or pain I feel and just tell myself that we'll need to start over again in a few days. That way if I do get BFP I will be excited and over the moon but I'm prepared for it to not happen.

I know exactly how you feel. Part of me thinks, "Wow. This is SO not as easy as I thought it would be. In order to give myself a good chance I should really pay attention to all the signs and chart well." Then another part of me thinks, "This is all getting to be kind of stressful and hard to take each month. Plenty of people get pregnant not charting and without knowing what any of their symptoms might be....And that way I wouldn't be so upset each month when it appears I've done everything right, but I still get a BFN."

Hmm...not sure which side will win out yet.

Fertilityfriend changed my O date from day 12 to day 15 and my heart dropped! I was so glad to be 7 DPO and then to have it drop to 4 and have my TWW extended stunk. I cannot wait for 12 DPO to either test or get ready to start my next cycle.

i know what u mean. i hated it when my temperature dropped drastically - knew i was getting my period. only thing i can tell you is to just not think about it. hard to do though, i know. easier said than done, i know. or do something, pick up a hobby to get your mind off of it. good luck! and throwing you a lot of baby dust!

I'm feeling you on this one. I know that your temp is the 'only' way that you can tell you ovuluated, but there are so many factors, that I know there are people that never get the 'right' temps and still ovuluated and get a BFP. Whenever I feel good based on the other factors (CM, peaks on CBEFM) I feel like I get shot down because my temps don't reflect it as well as people feel it should.

I can't decide if Fertility Friend is my friend or enemy. I am about 2-3 days PO (temp is still a iffy if/when I O'ed exactly) and I am just feeling so negative already that I'll get a BFN again this month. FF says it can't tell if I ovulated because of my temps (I'm not great about taking them at the same time every morning, but got a positive on my OPK Sunday and had all the other signs). We did the BD everyday for at least 5 days until I seem to have O'ed, but didn't do it on the day of because my husband worked late.
I felt this negative early on in the TWW last month, which was the first month I started charting, reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility, and using the FF app. I was so excited and positive during the pre-O days, but then once that was over and was looking at my temperatures, it made me more and more upset every day, knowing that my temps weren't rising high enough to be pregnant (and of course, I wasn't). I'm feeling that way again this month already, even though it's too soon to even know about the temp rise.

I'm thinking that if this month (cycle 6 of TTC) doesn't end with a BFP, I'm not going to use anything next month and just do it every other day or something. I feel like the stress of all this 'information' is becoming more harmful than helpful.

I'm sorry for this long post, but I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has been in my boat. Thanks:)
