We stopped bottles cold turkey, she was too stubborn for me to wean them off so we just started on a Monday and said "no more bottles." She was fine except after nap and before bed, we struggled then. We did transition to full cow's milk by then, and she never had issues with drinking it cold, actually liked it.

We're just starting to do this so I'd love advice. LO is 11 months and I BF and pump. As of last friday I'm done pumping so there is 90oz of frozen milk in the freezer and once he finishes that he's done drinking bottles during the day. At this point I'm not weaning him from BF morning and before bed but I'm done pumping. He will drink milk from a straw cup but never all that much and drinks 7oz of breast milk during the day.

We stopped the bottle cold turkey. Just offered a sippy of milk in its place. It took her a while to drink a good amount of milk before bed. But there was never a fight about the bottle.

We FF and switched her bottles for a sippy at 11mths, then at 1yr we switched to WCM. We did both stages cold turkey and it took a couple of days of her drinking less as a result, but she soon figured it out.

We stopped offering bottles except before bedtime and naps. We did it when she was 1. And then we would offer her her cup of milk and keep offering. If she freaked out, she got a few sucks off a bottle, then I took it away and gave back the cup. Took about a week but she had had the cup with meals and other times before so we just made the bottle disappear more. Bedtime was the tougher one but she figured it out in about a week

The first few days I let her have a bottle of milk at night but the rest were in straw cups, then I just stopped the last bottle completely and she was fine.

We stopped bottles cold turkey. LO never seemed to miss them or warm milk (we never heated cows milk). Weaning was hard itself but stoppinh the bottle was surprisingly easy. Then again, our struggle was starting the bottle.

We're still in the process but we're down to just morning and bedtime bottles. Sometimes we skip the morning one and do milk in a sippy but he really likes the bottle. His dr recommended just getting rid of the bottles and forgetting them but we're moving next week when he'll be almost 13 months and I didn't want to take away a comfort tool at the same time.

I'm planning to transition to whole milk by 1/4 bottle then 1/2 but what did you do when they were on whole milk? Just completely stop bottles cold turkey? I'd also like to stop nursing at a year. Lo can drink from a sippy/ straw cup but typically doesn't take much.
