They last longer cold anyway. ETA: We once bought a giant box of apples (maybe it was a bushel?) from our favorite orchard and they told us to store it in a cold, dark place to make the apples last as long as possible. Also, I have this aversion to cold foods, so I prefer RT foods over cold foods.
