@FannyMae: Oh yes, there is the occasional sticker incident. Those foam stickers are the worst for trying to clean up.

In a little rolling cart, pencil box and tiny pink crayon/mini paper drawers. The rolling cart is separated as follows: white paper, play dough, painting, miscellaneous paper and one drawer for stickers/stencils/stamps/coloring books.

I have a built in wardrobe in our study, so at the moment I use the drawers in it for art supplies. @LadyPantaloons: I also have that cute little roller caddy thing from Ikea, but haven't been brave enough to let DD have access to art supplies all day long - we end up with stickers on the walls and furniture.

We have an "art cart" by the dining room table. It's IKEA. DD can pull out whatever she wants and it usually gets put back. This way it's accessible whenever but isn't just left on the table. I am an artist myself so it's nice to have some separation of professional versus kid supplies. I also will rotate some supplies if we get some new stuff. Plus it's cute.

I keep mine in the garage in plastic boxes. I bring in what I need when I plan an activity. Maria Montessori would be turning in her grave but out of sight is out of mind and this prevents an episode of "I want paint paint" as we are trying to leave the house, not to mention the drawing on the wall antics!

I use these stacking containers from Joann Fabrics. I like that they are clear and snap together. But my LO is two and doesn't have a ton of art supplies yet. We also keep a small tin of crayons and stickers available that he can access without help. They are next to some butcher paper that I taped on the wall.

I keep them in the kitchen, this works well because there is nothing that can be damaged and they are easy access.

I use these cheap containers from Ikea and stack them on her desk. The only art supplies that are easily accessible to her are crayons, markers, and scissors. I hide the paper - she has to ask to be able to draw or else it becomes a huge mess. I also hide all paints (we mainly use watercolors). If she wants to paint, she asks us and I take it out of hiding.

Right now we use these plastic hanging buckets from ikea for crayons. They hang off metal rod that's also from ikea (kitchen). Markers go in a old diaper tub. Coloring books and such go in a rolling art suitcase or a drawer in her dress up dresser.
