We use the Ergo or just hold him. I also take a fully stocked diaper bag just in case. Our church doesn't have extra rooms like a mom's room or a nursery. If he needs to eat, I step into the hall of r the vestibule to nurse. I do the same if he fusses. He really seems to like "talking" during the consecration, haha!

I would wear her in the carrier until 6 months. She sat in my lap until 12 months and now she is super squirmy!! I have no idea what to do with her now that she is on the move!

We take him in the carseat but I usually hold him the whole time, which makes my arms a little tired, but I love looking at him and thanking God for him.

We babywore until about 3 months, mostly to keep people from touching her (flu season baby) and because she was more likely to sleep that way. Once she stopped sleeping while out and about, we switched to carrying her in. We've taken her at least once a week since she was 8 days old.

The carseat never worked for me. We don't have pews so it didn't fit so good on the chairs. I also hated putting her on the floor. I just held her. I nursed her when she got fussy or brought a bottle.

I would always bring him in his infant carrier. He almost always slept through the mass.

At that age we'd take him into church in his carseat if he was asleep. If he was awake we'd just hold him. We brought small, quiet toys, a bottle (just in case but he usually ate right before anyway), his blankie and a paci. If he got fussy we'd take him out to the parents area.

We took DS in the car seat until he was about 8 months old. We could have just carried him earlier but it was habit. Our church doesn't have a separate room for families. I used to take him into the bathroom, change his diaper and nurse him. Around 6 months I got more comfortable and nursed him in the pew.

At that age I just wore C in a ring sling. If I needed to leave to nurse or change him it was less cumbersome to just be wearing him.

I have 2 so we take the baby in his infant seat + snap and go. DD (2 yo) walks or her dad carries her on his shoulders.
Our church has a nursing room so if he needs to eat I take him in there.

@runsyellowlites: LO loved to start talking as soon as the sermon started, too. Also, for the first few months, if the senior pastor was preaching or leading he service, she would wail as soon as she heard him talking. .

When she was smaller we'd take her in in her carseat, but she liked to start talking as soon as sermon started so I'd take her out to the moms room. She didn't like being worn if I was sitting so once we stopped taking in her seat she'd just sit on me or DH. She started going to nursery at around 13 months.

Now, at 7.5 months, we just carry her in and sit her on our laps. If she's asleep, we'll keep her in her seat and take her in. At 4 months, I think we were still lugging the seat in.

If she was asleep when we got there we took her in the carseat. If she was awake (90% of the time) I wore her. I just went to the nursing moms' room whenever she was hungry. I walked the hall outside the sanctuary if she was fussy. But by 4 months she was in the nursery for the service.

By four months we were just holding her in our lap or wearing her in the ergo. We brought a diaper bag stocked with everything she needed, and if by chance she needed to eat I would just nurse her in the private parents room. It didn't usually happen, though, since church is only 1.25 hours and I would feed her right before we left.

Like, do you use the car seat? Do you carry them? What do you do if they get fussy or need to eat?

I'm taking my four-month old for the first time on Sunday (we haven't been since he was born and I need it!), and I'm not sure how the logistics work! Help?
