I also take a fully stocked diaper bag just in case. Our church doesn't have extra rooms like a mom's room or a nursery. If he needs to eat, I step into the hall of r the vestibule to nurse. I do the same if he fusses. Once she stopped sleeping while out and about, we switched to carrying her in. We don't have pews so it didn't fit so good on the chairs. I also hated putting her on the floor. I just held her. If he was awake we'd just hold him. We brought small, quiet toys, a bottle (just in case but he usually ate right before anyway), his blankie and a paci. We could have just carried him earlier but it was habit. Our church doesn't have a separate room for families. I used to take him into the bathroom, change his diaper and nurse him. She didn't like being worn if I was sitting so once we stopped taking in her seat she'd just sit on me or DH. If she was awake (90% of the time) I wore her. I just went to the nursing moms' room whenever she was hungry. I walked the hall outside the sanctuary if she was fussy. We brought a diaper bag stocked with everything she needed, and if by chance she needed to eat I would just nurse her in the private parents room.
