Interesting that so many of you just use one cup all day! That never really occurred to me. That sort of seems way easier.... lol. And not such a big deal to just wash her cups at night then.

We don't have a dishwasher so we always hand wash everything. I hated washing dippy cups. I felt like they were never completely clean! Like others though, I would just use one for milk and one for water and keep them in the fridge. So at least I was only washing once a day...

We use regular open cups and just hand wash, either throughout the day or after the kids have gone to bed. I like a new cup every time I get a drink (unless it's water) so never really thought to do differently with my kids haha.

We use our dishwasher, but we also rinse and reuse milk cups throughout the day if she has more than one. I try to limit milk/juice and push water between meals.

I hand wash it all, I don't feel like the dishwasher gets the straws properly clean (not sure if it is different for sippys though). DS only has milk in the morning and at bedtime, but if he had it during the day I would definitely go for this putting the cup in the fridge method - that is genius!

We hand wash. I have probably 2 straw cups per girl and a handful of other misc cups and take n toss cups we use. Straws need to be immediately rinsed out anyway or they get gross. Especially when they're drinking milk out of it!

Another one who uses one cup for milk and one for water all day and stick it in the fridge. Then it depends on how full the dishwasher is and if I have other clean cups.

Milk we mostly do take and toss cups now and we have enough that I put them in the dishwasher (wash the straws only by hand). Water is mostly in a contigo bottle and until this week we only had one so I ended up washing by hand more, but I just got more at Costco so can dishwasher that too. I feel like that gets it cleaner. Still hand wash the straw parts.

By generally- yeah I'm sick of washing little plastic pieces that never get dry in the dishwasher.

We use the dishwasher but I do hand wash sometimes because we don't have that many cups. I try to do just one milk cup and one water/juice cup per day but if the milk cup sits out a while we will have to start a new one.

I've also found that the dishwasher does not get certain kinds of cups as clean so I will have to give them a good scrub now and then.

Totally random question time! When our LO took bottles we just washed her bottle by hand after every time she drank one. We only run our dishwasher about e/o day and it seemed gross to leave formula ick for 2 days and also I didn't want to buy 8 bottles (we have gotten by the last 10 months having just 2 bottles since we switched to dr browns).

I think maybe (I hope I hope) we have made the transition to sippy cups for milk now. So she'll still get 3 or 4 sippy cups of milk per day + her water cup + her juice cup. And I'm really sick of hand washing all those things every single day. But is that just what you keep doing until they are on open cups? Or do people just buy a whole bunch of sippy cups so you can toss them in the dishwasher?
