Wow- thanks for all the responses. I guess I'm not crazy to still attempt a front carry. I do find back more comfortable but it's a process. @MrsB2012: the front cuddles are great, it's true. :)

I still use my ergo, mostly in a front carry. LO is almost 18 months, but she's small (maybe 21 lb?).

B is 18 months. While pregnant I carried her on my back in my tula (standard size, she still has lots of room in it) or my olives and applesauce. My sisters carry her on their front. Now that I'm not pregnant, when I feel ready I might switch back to the front carry, we will see. ( I prefer the front cuddles haha )

@Foodnerd81: we use our standard tula with the seat extenders to wear our little guy (21m, 32lbs and a good 3ft tall).

DS is 13 months and about 26 lbs - I wear him in a woven wrap in a front carry. If I am lazy with my wrapping it can be uncomfortable, but if I take the time to get it really good and tight then I can carry him happily for quite a while. We used to do a lot of hip carries but I can't take all his weight on one shoulder any more. I would love to try a back carry but never been able to get the hang of it! DH wears him in a lillebaby SSC.

Lorelei-- almost 3 (in March) and 32 pounds. Front/hip/back depending, though she mostly likes being on my hip. Back if I need to haul a**, though. Usually with a wrap, though we have dabbled in FBs.

Ellie-- 8 and 54 pounds. Back only. We have jokingly tried hip, but I am pretty sure if I did that for more than a few minutes my chiropractor would be set for life. She likes to go up sometimes to get calmed down, and she gets tired sometimes on hikes and wants a break from walking (and yet doesn't want to just hang out for a bit). Don't wear her much, but also usually use a wrap, but have occasionally used a FB.

N is 25 pounds (27 months) and loves to be back carried in our Ergo or hip carried in my ring sling. I prefer my ergo myself but I am going to be purchasing a Tula in the near future.

If you still baby wear your toddler, how? SSC (which one?), wrap? Front or back?

We just got tons of snow in Boston, which means it's going to be impossible to get my stroller through for a while. Last year I wore C on my front in my Beco gemini, but at 24 lbs she's getting heavy for the front. More comfortable on my back but that's hard to get on by myself. I guess I'm going to have to practice.
