Have you tried taking him to a cranial osteopath? Our LO use to have terrible trouble with wind and after one session with an osteo it got much easier to get her wind up. The osteo helped to relax some tight areas in her abdomen and diaphragm (sp) so the wind didn't get so trapped.

The same company that makes the Nosefrida makes a product called "The Windi". It has worked wonders for getting gas out of my LO.

@Running Elley: Be careful with the rice, there can be hot spots so kind of toss it around to keep the rice moving. Only microwave it for like 20 seconds or so. :-)

@Running Elley: Does he like being held against you? When she would hate tummy time but be gassy, we would hold her against our chests so it was applying pressure to her stomach and walk around with her or rock her.

@Crumbs: I knew there was one more I missed! Yes, we bicycle her legs and it sometimes relieves some of the gas.

@BelugaBean: E hates tummy time :( He has good neck strength but he just doesn't like laying on his tummy. We burp him on his tummy though and that definitely helps.
@babyjmama: The rice bag is a really good idea!! I'm going to try it!
@Crumbs: I always forget about leg exercises!

We would lay him on his back and raise his legs so they were at a 90 degree angle, then circle them all around. It would help him fart. Ohhh man once they can pass gas on their own it makes such a difference!!!

Leg exercises. I cycle her legs while she's laying down and it always seems to help.

Have you tried a warm pack on his belly when he sleeps? My mom sewed up a little pack of rice and I'd lay J across my legs to stretch out while he slept so he could get things 'amovin.

J's gas troubles didn't get better until he was about 4 or 5 months old :( There were a lot of tears...from both of us...until then. :(

We sometimes rub her stomach plus a lot of tummy time usually helps get some of it out. Besides that, we also usually try everything you've tried.

Elliot is a VERY gassy baby. We give him gas drops, we've used gripe water, we burp him very very frequently. I hate that face he gets when he's obviously in pain from his gas :(

I don't eat a lot of "gassy" foods and his stools are normal so the LC doesn't think he has a dairy intolerance issue.

Any tips or tricks?
