Car is fine - we are in it every day for 25 minutes each way on the commute to work/daycare. She rarely falls asleep during those drives, but the car is pretty much the only place she will take a nap on the weekends. 10 minutes in the car and she's out lol

planes: LO is an awesome traveler. She's been on 20+ plane trips now, she knows the drill.

We travel short distances daily using the car, but I do notice that my son tends to border on car sickness after a long amount of travel and on longer car trips. So, we try not to go too far in the car.

As for the plane, we've not had any air sickness to date, but I am waiting for that blow out any trip now.

We have done lots of moderately long road trips with the kids (like 4-6 hours of driving) and both have done so well since they were babies...knocking on wood that it continues! Our parents live a 3 hour drive away, and it is an easy drive with them now.

Planes can be hit or miss. Our kids have never slept well on planes, and if they get tired it can be VERY HELLISH. But it does get easier each time we travel as they get older!

Cars: they aren't used to cars so it's always rough. Now that DS is 4, he can be entertained. DD cried a lot in the car while we were driving during the holidays.

Planes: DS is really easy at this point and he has flown many times. DD has flown several times, but never more than 2 hours. We've been lucky so far in that she has slept for most of the flights, but I wouldn't count on such good behavior for longer trips.

Cars: Both kids hate cars, but our daughter really really hates them. She gets carsick and dreads getting in the car. Thankfully, they also tend to knock her out so eventually she falls asleep.

Planes: The kids do great on planes, especially if we plan ahead and keep them entertained. We flew out to LA recently, and there was a lot of turbulence which triggered some airsickness. But it wasn't as bad as it coud've been, plus I think all the vibrations helped knock the kids out.
