It's wonderful. I had such acid reflux and right after I had her I still had it and was sad. But it went away within an hour. I was way too hyper after I had her with all the adrenaline and no baby in belly body. But you also have this beautiful lil baby you can finally interact with more than with just pokes. It's really great.

They say it takes 6 weeks for your uterus to shrink back down but I think it was closer to 3 months before I felt like I was really closer to my pre-preg shape.

It did feel a little weird to not have my giant balloon of a belly running into things constantly but my back was thankful. I had lower back aches through the last trimester from thr heavy belly so that was a relief. It was definitely nice to be able to tie my own shoes when I was discharged too!

@babyboecksmom - lol and agree on the hooha comment!!! And it was really weird to have a soft squishy Timmy after having a firm round one for so long.

I'm also curious - how long did it take for your tummy to be completely flat and firm again? At 4 weeks postpartum it is mostly deflated (lol) and not as squishy, but when I sit there is definitely a pouch. =( I'm looking forward to me 6 week appt so I can get the ok to start my Pilates / Yoga again.

To me I felt great but also incredibly empty after my daughter was born. I would still mindlessly just hold my stomache and I did feel gas more.

It feels so much better! All of the aches and pains really did go away. Or I didn't notice because I had so much pain from the tear.... either way it was nice. I do feel the gas more. It freaks me out!

I cannot wait to get my body back! How long did it take to get a tight tummy back (if it comes back?!)?

I noticed immediately that my stomach was all squishy and much flatter. I could actually see my whooha when I went to the bathroom. LOL

It felt weird! I was so happy that the heartburn and most of the other little niggles went away instantly. To be replaced by a bunch of other issues!

I slept on my belly the first night. It was AMAZING. I had had this very nagging and painful backache for months and it went away almost instantly. I also lost half the weight in 2 days. I felt like I could have run a marathon 2 days later, compared to how I had been feeling!

Awesome, but I do miss some parts of pregnancy.

A few days after delivery, I realized that I could see my legs and bend over to tie my shoes- so exciting! Also losing the heartburn and swelling was so great.

I really didn't notice much more right away, probably a couple of weeks out I was less achy and felt more energetic.

There were a few times with gas that I thought I felt him kicking, but was holding him in my arms- what a trip!

I'm 35 weeks, so I have no idea, but I also can't imagine it! My aunt had terrible heart burn throughout both her pregnancies and she said as soon as she the baby came out she felt a huge relief in her chest.

Does your body feel different/weird after carrying someone else for 9 months and then just not doing that anymore? Do you feel Gas more now cause its sorta like baby movement? Do you still ache the same way or does or all just instantly go away?

I can't imagine not being pregnant since I have been for so long at this point (30 weeks on Sunday)
