<description>&#60;p&#62;I think it can go a few ways: 1: you only need a nanny a few days a week, and another family uses the same nanny the other days so she can work full time but not have conflicting schedules. 2: She watches your kid(s) and someone else's at the same time, so you and the other parents can get a better rate because the costs are being split.

<description>&#60;p&#62;We are pre-ttc (probably starting next July), and I've called around to a couple of daycare places to get some estimates. We're looking at starting prices of $1600. One of us staying at home won't be an option, as we live off DH's salary comfortably now, but my salary will go to student loan and savings. I've read about nanny shares. How do they work? Is it cheaper than daycare? Would you/do you use this method of childcare, and if so, how do you like it?
