@Mamaof2: Hah! Thinking through the other sibling sets I know, that is the trend! My nephew is the sweetest older brother though - he actually yelled at a kid that was being a bully to his sister.

@Mamaof2: not true! DS1 loves his little brother so much from day one. He has always given him kisses, hugs, holds his hand, etc. the jealousy has come out maybe 2 times. I was worried before little brother was born about how DS1 would handle it. The love was just natural!

She's a pretty good big sis. Of course she still snatches stuff away from lil sis every once in a while, but it can't all be perfect. Lately, she's been cleaning off lil sis with wipes after meal times and getting her down from the highchair. So cute. And she's not a very jealous kid so that's been nice for us, as parents. I think it's definitely great having a big sis!

L loves her sister SO much! Too much, maybe? Haha. She does not like it when strangers touch K - she yells at them! :/
She's very good about trying to soothe K when she's crying, and comes running for us to help if she can't. She keeps trying to pick her up but can't (and it cracks me up because K is a HUGE baby and going to pass her up in size eventually!)

My younger child would be an amazing big sister!!

My DS still gets jealous of his little sister but there are more and more bright spots these days.

Nothing but love and she enjoys helping me with her. Sometimes too much. The little one was crying and E tried to pick her up to make her feel better, only to drop her on her head

She loves her but struggles with sharing sometimes. She doesn't like hearing LO 2 cry...she used to be annoyed but now she tries to soothe her.

I thought we were lucky that our eldest gets along with our youngest, but then I met some families where the eldest helps baby and take care of the youngest! That definitely doesn't happen here... although I think if the birth order was reversed, our daughter would love to baby her brother!
