My 4 yr old DD has been to three doctors this week and has been very behaved. We are waiting to get a shot right now though, so we will see. Toddler DS is pretty behaved as long as I keep feeding him snacks, but he gets bored quickly and the waits are always so long!

LO is generally very good and was actually looking forward to seeing the doctor a few weeks ago to check out for a possible ear infection. He only starts to cry when they stick a needle in him but calms down after a minute or so.

She is very, very used to going to the doctors and hospitals for examinations and tests. She has cried a few times, if they're doing something that really bugs her, but in general she's very sweet with them and smiled through her x-ray last week - the tech said she's one of only a few babies they didn't have to strap down!

Yes, it is a stage, but ours was largely related to the fact that our previous ped was a jerk.

We love our new ped and it took about 3 visits with him in a 2 month time to get used to it. Now he talks about Dr O all the time!

DD loves the doctor. Sometimes she'll tell us she's sick/something hurts and we have to wait it out to see if she really is sick or if she just wants to go to the doctor's office.

She absolutely loves the doctor.

Maybe you should get her a pretend play doctor's kit. DD used to play with one at daycare. I think that is what got her into doctors.

@Rubies: Glad to hear that I'm not alone. But feel bad that you have to go through it too! DH said he wants to come to her 2 year visit because he thinks he can help her calm down. Yeah right.

LO is the same. She's fine waiting but freaks the heck out as soon as her doctor walks in. It's a nightmare!

My LO HATES the doctor's office. I just took her in to get a diaper rash checked out. She was fine in the waiting room, but began screaming the minute they called her name. They couldn't weigh her because she'd scream and hold onto me for dear life. They haven't been able to weigh her for awhile. And if there's a doctor or nurse in the room, even just talking to me, she screams.

Please tell me this is just a stage!
