I keep thinking she'd hate change because she wasn't an easygoing, flexible baby - in fact, if I didn't get her in her crib for nap time at specific times I was guaranteed a cranky, fussy baby… but she keeps surprising me whenever we go through transitions as she grows! We had no problem switching from crib to twin bed, she did great when we made the 10 hr flight to cancun and the time change adjustment didnt affect her too much, we switched her preschool back in November and she took to it like a fish to water. She mentions her old school every once in awhile, but has no desire to go back. She's so much happier at this new school!

DS is a super chill, easygoing baby and with him our routines can fly out the window and he doesn't bat an eye. I think he'll be fine with change.

Well c is not quite 5 months, but I've been so impressed with her coping with all the changes with traveling, schedule disruptions, new places to sleep. But she definitely prefers her regular routine at home I think.

Charlie really values continuity in his life. We moved a few months ago, and he told me yesterday that he missed our old apartment! I think our new apartment is better for our family (cozier, all on one floor, etc.), but he was just used to the old place, I think.

I made the mistake of telling him that we moved mostly so that he could go to a new school next year, and he got really sad! I can't blame him: as a kid, I wouldn't want to have changed schools either. Even if the new school is supposed to be a lot better than the old one!
