LO1 is 4. I usually lay with her after book, prayer, and a song and she falls asleep within minutes. I love our time together.

Lo2 is 10 months. He falls asleep on the boob and then wakes up when I put him down in the crib. He cries for a couple of minutes but usually falls back down asleep.

DD (2) in her bed, DH sings her a sing and pats her back!

DS (10 weeks) after a bottle, or he goes down drowsy and finds his thumb!

Ds 1 (4) gets 3 or 4 books, then we dim the lights and lay with him. We often fall asleep in his twin bed doing this! But lately he wants us with him until he falls asleep. He was always good going to bed on his own until about 3.5.

Ds 2 (1) gets a bottle still with books in his sleep sack, dim lights, then put into his crib. Half the time still awake.

Both boys have baths, and then one parent takes each (we rotate). B (3) gets jammies on, we cuddle up on the bed and read three stories, then turn out the lights, turn on the clock, the nightlight, and the white noise, hold hands and chat for a minute, and then we leave and he falls asleep. W (10 months) gets into his sleepsack, we read a book, sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, he gets a kiss and we say "I love you baby, have a good sleep" and then he goes into his crib.

2 year old gets tucked into this floor bed + tent situation with all his friends and bed accoutrement (pillows, blankets, loveys, etc). We sing the same 2 songs, do prayers, hugs and kisses, and I zip up his tent and turn on his white noise machine. I always say "Night night mommy loves you" before I leave the room.

7 month old gets the same 2 songs, prayers, and I set him down in his crib. At home he squawks for about 10 minutes and rolls over and goes to sleep. While we were at our ILs for Christmas, he needed to be held longer and rocked a bit and nursed.

DD (19mos) either nurses to sleep or DH rocks & sings her to sleep. I'd like to get more serious about putting her to bed awake, or at least drowsy, but we admit we love to have her fall asleep in our arms.

DD is 2 - she nurses, we rock while singing two songs, and then she goes in her crib awake. Same for her nap minus the nursing.

DS1 liked to be laid with but can go without. In his own bed.

DS2 is 2 and just takes a pacifier and goes down on his own in his crib.

Both go straight on their beds alone. I rocked DD1 for hours every single night for over a year before I had enough and never rocked DD2 to sleep.

DS (3.5) gets a kiss and a tuck in then we leave and he goes to sleep.
DD (1.5) still nurses to sleep and I am SO ready to not do that anymore. But she is stubborn and it is going to be ugly and I am lazy...

Do they need to rocked or nursed or held or do you just put them in bed/crib and say goodnight? My oldest (3) really prefers us to lay in bed with him but will fall asleep with out about 50% of the time. The youngest (1) has gotten used to being rocked and I'm trying to break that habit. They are both a work in progress.
