She usually stirs, pours and cracks eggs. Sometimes she will cut veggies with a butter knife or if I have extra time I let her use a real knife with my help. That is very very rare though. Making cookies/using the cookie cutters are always a hit too.

LO made cupcakes today. I let her crack 1 of the 3 eggs and she pretty much did everything else. It's been a long time since we baked together.

DD is 3 and she loooooooves the kitchen. She gets out ingredients (unless they are heavy or eggs), pours, mixes, cracks eggs, sprays the pan, rolls out or kneads dough etc. I will let her do basically anything that doesn't involve heat or a knife. She usually makes a gigantic mess but oh well. If I don't feel like cleaning up after her I will cook during nap lol.

Mine likes to help cut things! I have him use a butter knife because I'm paranoid, but he can cut fruit (like grapes), garlic, cherry tomatoes in half, cucumbers, etc. He also loves to help measure, pour, and mix things.

LO is five and she used to do cooking stuff mentioned for me but she is not into it anymore so now she just does her chore-put away the silverware. And she just picked up my list writing. She goes on my phone app and writes/deletes whatever we need her to. Maybe I should make her get the waters or something.

DS is 2.5 and he helps with everything in the kitchen. He chops with a crinkle cutter when I'm prepping vegetables. He stirs and helps measure and pour ingredients. He gets out pans for me. He puts muffin liners in the pans and when I'm feeling really patient I let him scoop the muffin batter too (he's actually pretty neat). We let him stir stuff in the frying pan (as long is there is no hot grease). He washes dishes with me...

I let him crack eggs sometimes but always make him wash his hands afterwards.

My four year old loves anything to do with cooking/baking, so she is often asking me to help in the kitchen. I'm wondering how far others let their LO's help out in the kitchen. Do you just let them stir/pour things in? I've let her crack eggs before, and she does pretty well!

What does your LO help you do in the kitchen when cooking/baking?
