I made something like this for about $12 with knobs from hobby lobby.

https://i.pinimg.com/564x/33/17/a8/3317a86ce19a55e3a465c9ea68be91fa.jpg

They have wood "plaques" with quotes and phrases on them that are hollow, and they were the perfect depth to hold the knobs without the screws on the back getting in the way of hanging them on the wall. So it looks like a 2 or 3 inch thick piece of wood, but it's actually hollow on the inside.

And it could be fun for your LO to get to choose her own hooks and knobs!

My LO's jewelry is separated into expensive, everyday-wear, and play jewelry. The expensive stuff is kept in a PBK jewelry box personalized with her name. We just got her a mermaid-shaped earring holder for the "cheaper" jewelry (Claires) that she takes cares of by herself. And her play/dress-up jewelry goes in a giant cheapie jewelry box, it feels like it's made out of cardboard lol

My daughter has a backpack that we keep her dress up accessories in. All her play jewelry is in the front pocket. It's easily accessible to her and easy for her to get out and put away. Since it's play jewelry, I don't really care that it's not better organized. She does have some nicer jewelry pieces that we keep in her dresser. She's not old enough yet, so we don't allow her to access those without us helping her.

DD has a jewelry box, but for now it's on top of my closet and I don't even let her poke around in it. I just take out what she wants. That's partly because she still breaks necklaces or drops them in odd places, partly because there's stuff in there that's going to be a surprise one day (like hair clips she's not old enough to wear). The only things I don't hide are her party-favor plastic rings and yeah... they turn up everywhere, from her big brother's desk to under the toilet

Mine have a cloth-covered, beaded box from PBK for rings and chunky things that won’t tangle, and they have jewelry trees from Amazon for necklaces and bracelets.

I keep her nice stuff in with my jewelry. She has one of those classic jewelry boxes with the ballerina that twirls when you open it and the construction is fine but it mostly goes unused. Most of her jewelry is just stored in one of those circular metal tins (like cookies come in). It's easy to pop the lid on and contain the mess.

I don't know if this is practical for kids or not, but I keep my own costume jewelry in a chest of drawers. Inside the drawers, I have sectioned containers with no lids, which you could DIY with cereal boxes and wrapping paper or look around at discount department stores.

@Anagram: my BIL has given the girls a couple of nice necklaces and I keep them with mine too. My 4 year old can wear them for special occasions. The 2 year old pretty much never does for now.

We hang some necklaces on hooks in the girls room and our kiddos each have a jewelry box with a jumble of bracelets and stuff. It's kind of messy.

But I keep their nice stuff in our hidden safe with my jewelry. Since my husband and comes from a gold-loving culture, they both have 22k gold earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. We never wear them, they're all with my 22k wedding jewelry. I think last year I let LO1 wear her stuff st her birthday party and then we put it right back in the safe.

@PinkElephant: exactly- so many of them have loose hinges already at home goods so I’m sure my daughter or her friends could easily break them.

@Mrs. High Heels: im worried she would break that too. The kids play in her room for play dates. But that is cute.

@misolee: I am crafty but haven’t seen anything I love yet!

Those divided embroidery floss/bead containers (same thing we use to store small collectible toys like Shopkins) work well; chunkier stuff like plastic bangles goes in a flip-top sterilite container, and anything more delicate or valuable I store for them in little ceramic dishes in my jewelry drawer for now.

I have also eyed the jewelry storage for kids at home goods, but most of the kid’s jewelry boxes I see there are already broken, so that doesn’t bode well...

I was just looking into this today because DD got her ears pierced last month and I wanted a way to store her stud earrings and a couple necklaces. I have this one in my cart right now - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Small-Mirror-and-Rectangular-Design-Top-Jewelry-Box-White-Finish/40703244

Nothing fancy but I found this small cork-board with a stand at Hobby Lobby. The cork-board came with several small hooks on top. We just hang all her jewelry on there. The picture is kind of what the stand looks like except it's cork and there's several small hooks on top.

I've seen bunch of DIY's you can do if you're crafty (totally not me)

How do your store your LO’s jewelry? My 4 year old has a growing collection of necklaces and bracelets and a few rings- kid stuff— the actual nicer gifts she’s been given I keep with my jewelry. But right now it’s all over the place and I find it in every room of the house. I’m trying to come up with an easy solution for her to store it and keep track of it, that won’t get broken easily (like the jewelry boxes I’ve seen at home goods seem like she would break the door or top off by accident).

Pictures are a plus!
