I think the main difference for us is that I had two older siblings to play with and lo doesn't have any siblings...yet. my mom and I were /are sahm's and gave /give our babies lots of attention.

So far, it's very similar to my own. But he's only barely 2. :) My mom stayed at home for the first few years so she gave us tons of attention.

I LOVED my childhood (or, up until I was 13 - ugh, middle school as puberty don't mix well if you're a girl). I was always playing outside and riding my bike all over the neighbourhood. I had a great imagination and was able to play by myself. I hope LO has a good imagination!

I am constantly marveling at how much love and attention our LOs get... not because we're great parents or anything, but because that's the cultural norm these days.

I barely had any toys growing up, so Charlie has got me beat on that front too.

All in all, I'm pretty sure that our kids are having a memorable and thoughtful childhood! It definitely stacks up to my own memories, except for the part where I would wander the woods on my own and search for frogs and salamanders.
