@mrsjyw: she's a terrible sleeper anyway, so I may just be looking for excuses! But she has seemed to be nursing more. I have some mothers milk tea...maybe I will try that

The return of your period will affect your supply. It's due to the hormone shift. The only thing you can do, is to add in extra feedings/pumpings. It will usually start to dip a few days before and end a few days after. It can be a pain, but it's totally normal.

It didn't affect his sleep but there were def a few fussy sessions when I wasn't producing enough.

I used to take fenugreek tablets from gnc, and calcium+magnesium tablets around AF time.

Welp, at almost exactly 7 months post partum I just got my period.

My kid has been noticeably harder to settle at night- she wakes up crying as soon as I take her off the breast (we co-bed after the first wake up), and has been nursing every 90-120 minutes all night long, plus I noticed yesterday that she added in at least one extra day time feeding. Seems like maybe my supply took a hit? How long does this last? Should I do anything about it?

How does your period impact your breast fed baby?
