My little girl takes a deep breathe, makes a sad pout, then starts to wail pitifully and the waterworks come at exponential speed. It's looks sad!

Oh the delightful tantrum. Mine dd gets more angry and yells at you then glares. If you ignore she will shake and start with the Mama mama mama then dada dada dada. Then cry if she is still in the mood. Usually once the tears comes she is pretty much done , has forgotten all about what she was mad about in the first place and want to be hugged.

@sandy: Our biggest struggle is the jealousy he has for his little brother. He's had it since my youngest was born. He used to throw toys and books at him starting around 2 months. He acts out pretty much every time we interact with his little brother. He loves him a lot and they play really well together, but I guess he just can't help himself. Just now he walked by his little brother and hit his arm and right in front of me... Anyway, don't worry about it too much right now. All kids are different and some are easier than other and hopefully yours won't be as hard as mine. :)

@sorrycharlie: I love that so much!

DS is very cautious about his tantrums. He'll lay down on the floor veeeeeery slowly, looking down from time to time to make sure he doesn't hit his head. It's really hard not to laugh.

@erwoo: this is what scares me! My LO doesn't throw tantrums and is so easy going. She does cry when she is super frustrated but she's easy to talk to and comfort. I'm so scared things are going to change when she turns 3/4. Also I'm so scared that baby #2 will be totally different and I won't know what how to handle it (she's already so crazy active compared to my LO I have a feeling I am totally in for it)

Lots of big tears and moaning of what it is she wants that we said no to (lately it is often "Daaaaaaaannniellllll" as in Daniel Tiger). Ocassionally whatever she is holding gets thrown to the ground. It usually ends with a plea (to me, never DH) to "rock rock upstairs" in her room.

DS just started having more frequent tantrums. If we are holding him and removing him from a place he shouldn't be, he starts to arch his back like he's stretching and starts a whiny cry. If he's standing and we take something away from him he stands there and does what my DH and I call an "ugly face cry" with tears and a wide open mouth while holding his hands all proper-like. :silly: Oddly enough, his tantrums resemble how I used to tantrum when I was a toddler (or so I've been told).

we have 2. 1, she pouts and sulks and says, "i angry at you" and just sulks and tries to swat you away if you try to go near her.

If she's feeling particularly upset over something, she stomps and hops and yells until I go get her and give her a hug.

I don't know if she has a fancy way of starting the tantrum but I do know that once she is on the floor, wailing, she will lay flat on the ground and spin herself in circles with her foot. She goes around like a Merry-Go-Round. Wailing all the while.

She screams in utter frustration and doesn't stop! She then will just tell no at us when we try to reason with her or talk with her. She also balls her fists and shakes with rage. Sometimes it's hilarious a lot of the time it's hard to find the humor in it!! She usually keeps repeating how we've done her wrong "I wanted one more time" etc. etc. Once she's calmed down she usually apologizes and says "I'm
Not crying anymore"

@sandy: No! And he was so good until he turned 3. Now that he's 5, whoa... My youngest, well, he came out of my belly throwing tantrums! Maybe my youngest will be easier as he gets older as my oldest gets harder. The joys of parenting because we can never win! :P
