We heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time at our 12 week appointment. We tried at 8 weeks, but didn't hear anything on the doppler. Didn't try again until 13 weeks and heard it then loud and clear. We heard the heartbeat and saw the little peanut at 8w3d, on Monday! It was the best moment in my life. My Dr usually doesn't try listening with the doppler till around 12 weeks I think. But I was lucky and he tried to find it for us early. But I think you can see the heartbeat as early as 6 weeks. We went in at 5 wks and some days, then went back in two weeks for another ultrasound. The first ultrasoudn was an abdominal one, but our second one was a transvaginal one. We were able to see the heartbeat and the baby on our 7wks ultrasound. It was so unbelievable to see the changes that happened in 2 weeks. It more than doubled in size! So excited for you! We still haven't heard the heartbeat and I'm 15 wks 6 d. We do have an appointment next week. I just went in for my 12 week and the dr couldn't find the heartbeat. She said it was sometimes hard to find even at 12 weeks.
