He snuggled for a bit and then he decided to get back up and run around like a maniac, so I took him for a car ride, which worked almost instantaneously, but he didn't stay asleep during the transfer and was wound for sound after that. Rinse and repeat, the final car ride was around 7 and it took him about 20 minutes to finally zonk. </p> <p>I tried to put him in his room for a stretch during all this, both with the light on and the light off and both times, he just screamed and cried. After I got LO down for his nap at 8:30 (it's usually 9, but he seemed sleepy), I decided to cuddle up to DH for just a few minutes. 2 hrs later I woke up, and realized LO was still sleeping, and the rest of the household was waiting on us! But I was the first one up (after LO). Does that count, if you lie down just for a second? I'd even had breakfast, played with LO, and did some laundry. Lol!
