A few minutes later I hear "Daddy, the sun is awake!" Turns out he knows how to work the clock, got tired of waiting, and pressed the button to "wake up the sun". I totally expected him to be up before 5. But Hubs kept him up late last night, so I think that helped. That's way past their bedtime. LO1 called out to me right when her OK to Wake clock turned green at 6:00 (new 5:00). She hadn't stayed in her room until the clock turned green in 2 weeks so that was a little break.
