During the school year we eat supper at 6 , then a quick bath and dd (2) is in bed for 7. Up
the next morning at 7 to get ready for daycare.

Now that it's summer we are more relaxed... Supper can be anywhere between 6-8 and bedtime is between 7:30-9. She loves to sleep in so a later bedtime doesn't seem to throw her off.

My LO is 20 months and she eats dinner between 6 & 7. It really depends on how active she was that day and how much of a lunch and/or afternoon snack she had. Some days she is just starving and I have to go ahead and feed her at 6 even if dinner isn't ready. Other days she can wait until closer to 7 and eat with us.

She goes to bed at 8. Usually she plays for 15-30 minutes after dinner and then it is time for her bedtime routine.

We do dinner at 6pm and bedtime is 8pm. I like to have a couple hours between eating and bedtime, so we can hang out as a family for a little bit and take our time with the bedtime routine. Plus, I think it's better for digestion to have some time between when you eat and when you sleep.

For my almost two year old, dinner is around 6, sometimes 6:30 depending what we were doing during the afternoon and how late she had her after nap snack. Bedtime starts around 7:20, she's usually in bed by 7:45 (don't do bath every night).

She definitely does eat dinner better if she has a smaller or earlier snack, but I don't stress too much over it. Definitely no after dinner snack- frankly by the time she's done with dinner I do not feel like getting out and cleaning up yet another snack. Rarely I give her her milk again before brushing teeth if I know she didn't eat a lot.

"Dinner" for my almost 8mo old is typically between 5-530, and then she is in bed by 630.

Dinner for my 3yo is usually around 6 (we've been eating as a family after DD2 goes to bed), and then we start the bedtime routine around 730.

So for each of them, it ends up being somewhere between 1-1.5 hours between dinner and bedtime. Sometimes a little bit longer for the older one if it's a "special" night where she stays up later.

Now that it's summer and LO can sleep in (we wake up early during the school year when I work), her bedtime has moved all the way back to 9. So we eat dinner around 7, it takes her AT LEAST 30 minutes to eat, sometimes more like 45 minutes, and then she's in bed by 8:30, and asleep by 9.

So we have a 1 to 1.25 hour gap between LO finishing dinner and bed. But she also doesn't really drink milk any more, so dinner is the last calories she eats.

We start dinner at 6:30, bath at 7 and into bed at 7:30. Works for us! If it happens to be just me here with both kids at bedtime I sometimes push dinner a little earlier so there's time for everything.

I feel like our schedule needs some tweaking at 2.5 years. My twins' schedule is:
5:30-6 wake up (yes, always early)
6:30 breakfast
9:00 snack
11:30 lunch
12:30-2:30 nap (give or take)
3:00 snack
5:30 dinner
6:30 bath
7:00 bed

Dinner time is stressful. I'm wondering if I should move it later so they're more hungry and less picky. Plus during the school year I work 3 days a week and don't get home until 5:45 so that would give me a little more time. Our current arrangement is hubby eats with them at 5:30 those days and I eat once they're in bed.
On the other hand, I have several friends who give kiddos dinner earlier and do a bedtime snack. Just curious what others do!
