I have vague memories from when I was two. That is so weird to think that you're already building Charlie's memories!

I have vague memories from about 2.5, and some very clear memories at 3. I can remember some of my thought processes and decisions very clearly at 4, but at 5, I only have bits and pieces. It might be because, as you say, there were bigger life events at 4 than at 5. We bought a new house, my baby brother was born, I fell and twisted my leg...

I remember stuff from age 2 on....I remember breaking my leg when I was 2, swimming in a swimming pool with a bread bag on my leg (due to cast secondary to leg breaking incident!), biting my sister's knee when I was 2, using water colors when I was 2.....the list goes on.

I don't remember very much. My mom gets so upset with me because she's always asking if I remember different events, vacations, etc. and I don't remember any of it!

My very first memory was when my sister was born. I was 3 weeks away from turning 3. I remember things from preschool and kindergarten, but only bits and pieces.

I would say I remember things from about age 3 and up.

Although I have a freaky story: When I was a teenager, I told my mom about a very vivid dream I had of my father kidnapping my sister and I--he put us in the back of the car (no car seats) and I remember crying for her. My mother told me it wasn't a dream and I was remembering something that happened when I was about 2 and my sister was almost 1.

About 2-1/2 too. We moved (only a couple miles) but I still remember the old house/neighborhood.

I remember in preschool when we made duck pictures and had to display them at an assembly, but most of my memories are probably from age 4+.

I would say I start remembering bits and pieces from when I was about 2 and a half to three. My brother was born at that time and I clearly remember his birthday.

I have flashes of memory from when I was between 2-3 but only remember certain specific things. I remember the color and style of door of our first apartment that we lived in, we moved out right around the time I turned 3. For some reason I only remember the door.
I also remember my brother owning a camp bed at that apartment and it was blue.
I remember my day care but again only flashes, I remember doing wooden jigsaw puzzles and hating the heated up milk becaus it had some type of lumps in it. And I remember being pushed in m y stroller through leaves in the fall. My first concrete continuous memories seem to start when I was about 4.

I have tons of memories from 2 1/2 on. I think it's because that's when my parents moved to the states and left me and my brother behind with my aunt for a year. Big events usually help you remember things that happened at a younger age.

Charlie is 26 months, and it's crazy for me to think that Charlie may remember the things that are happening in his life right now!

How far back can you remember into your childhood?
